Itinerary

A traditional Welcome by a member of our team when you arrive at the New Delhi International Airport who will greet you and assist you in your hotel check-in. Delhi's history dates back to 2800 BC as per the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata. Today Delhi that you see on your India trip bustles with remnants of the myriad bygone dynasties juxtaposed with the chaos of modern India.

It offers over a thousand monuments, bustling bazaars, and old capital buildings, including the present seat of the government (Lok Sabha) designed by the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. In contrast it has some of India's most luxurious and modern hotels, markets and restaurants.

We will spend the first 2 days of The Luxury Wildlife Holiday package exploring Delhi and visit popular sites like Old Delhi, Red Fort, Jama Masjid (Asia's largest mosque), Humayun's Tomb and Qutab Minar. The highlight of our expedition will be exploring the busy streets of Chandni Chowk Bazaars by cycle rickshaw!

Our counselor will assist you with the early morning transfer to Delhi airport for the flight to Nagpur. From Nagpur we will drive five hours to get to the Kanha National Park. After checking into your camp or jungle lodge, if time permits, you can go for a jungle safari or a nature walk.

We will spend the following two days exploring the jungle in exclusive jeep safaris with a private naturalist, both in the morning and afternoon.

Kanha National Park, located in the heart of Central India, is the forest made famous by Kipling's Jungle Book. One of the habitats of the majestic Indian Royal Bengal Tiger, it also offers a plethora of flora and fauna. This dense Sal forest mingled with rolling grasslands and meandering streams captivates ardent wildlife as well as nature lovers.

The highlight of the adventure at Kanha is the thrill of the search for the Royal Bengal Tiger in dedicated jeeps. Your naturalist will track footprints and alarm calls from animals like langurs and Sambar deer to lead the tiger chase. She will also share stories and keep you informed about the peculiarities of the inhabitants of the jungle throughout the course of the safari.

On the last day, we will take a morning safari in the Kanha Jungle, and return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, we will check out and drive 6 to 7 hrs to Bandhavgarh National Park, carrying with us a packed lunch.

Note: On Wednesdays there will only be a morning safari as per the rules of the park authorities.
