Itinerary

As the plane you descends, one will be able to see Mt. Everest – the highest mountain in the world, then Kanchenjunga and some other mountains. This is just the beginning of natural beauty of the kingdom of Bhutan you will be visiting.

Our representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Paro.

Today after breakfast at the hotel you will drive to Thimpu, the Capital city of Bhutan. Check into your hotel on arrival at Thimpu.

After lunch visit the Memorial Chorten. Overnight at the Hotel.

Today we will drive to Wangdue enroute visiting Dochula Pass and Punakha Dzong. On arrival at Wangdue check into your hotel for overnight stay. Spend the evening at leisure or explore the valley town on your own.

After breakfast drive 3 hrs to Gangtey. On arrival check into your camp for overnight stay. If at all interested, fishing trip can be arranged. Overnight in camp.

Today we will arrange a trail to the nearby areas to stretch yourself and prepare for the trek. Overnight In Camp.

Today we will leave on the trek after the breakfast passing through the meadows and forests of bamboo, magnolia and Rhododendrons. We will reach a village called Gogona in the isolated valley. The people here still speak their ancient dialect called “Bjopkha. Overnight in Camp.

Today it will be a gentle climb and then a descend leading to a wide valley , reminiscent of the big sky views of the mountains around. Overnight in camp.

After breakfast we begin our trek with climb to the hills leading to Tashila. We will then walk down to the valley of Wangdi passing through the green vegetation. Overnight in Guest House / Camp

After breakfast drive to Punakha Dzong view point at the north end of the Punakha valley. It was the nation’s capital until 1966. The Je-Khenpo, the head abbot of the religion in the country, and most of the monks of Thimphu occupy this Dzong through the winter as the lower elevation of this valley has a more comfortable temperature. Return over Dochula pass and stop at the Cafeteria for a hot cup of coffee and some snacks. If the weather is clear you will have an excellent view of the Himalayan snow-capped mountains. Continue to drive to Thimphu, the present capital of Bhutan. Overnight in hotel.

Your Tour guide will see you off at the international Airport at Paro for onward flight.

Note : This trek is considered to be the easiest. It is normally cultural treks that take you through villages, and involves walking within the tree line for an average of 5-6 hours a day. Not much training is required for this kind of treks. The ascent will not be more than 3000 mts. above the sea level. Moderate fitness is required.
